The Grayson County Water District has been recognized for being the Distribution System of the Year by the Central Chapter of the Kentucky Water and Wastewater Operators Association for 2024.
On December 5th the Grayson County Water Distribution System was recognized as the Distribution System of the year in the Central Chapter of the Kentucky Water & Wastewater Operators Association (KWWOA).
The Central Chapter of the Operators Association includes many very good systems with a range from Allen to McCreary County on the Tennessee border North from Meade to Oldham County on the Indiana border.
After being awarded the recognition on the chapter level the Distribution System will automatically be placed as a nominee for the KWWOA state awards held in Owensboro in May. There are a tremendous amount of very good utility systems and operators throughout Kentucky. To receive these awards, and to be chosen by your peers, is quite an honor! It takes a solid team to make the distribution system operate strong and efficiently. Pictured below are the current employees that work in both the field and at the water treatment plant.
